Editorial Policy

Smooth Jazz News is contemporary jazz lifestyle magazine which covers smooth jazz artists and events.

Our editorial content is budgeted in December for each upcoming year. It includes cover stories, Jazz Buzz, Inside the Music Industry, Book Review, Cashmira's Starguide, featured festivals and other newsworthy information we discover throughout our jazz travels.

The music we hear and the performances we see are  what influences our editorial decisions. If we like the project and have the budget and space available, we will consider it for publication.


Editorial Decisions

Editorial is chosen by our editorial committee of passionate, qualified smooth jazz journalistic professionals and is based on a variety of factors.

The music is what we listen to and influences our editorial decisions (not a manager’s or publicist’s pitch). If we like the project and have the budget and space available, we will consider it for publication.

We accept press releases via e-mail at smoothjazznews@aol.com.

When sending CDs for editorial consideration, please mail two copies to:
